happy friday

bamboo shopping

I hope you all had a good week, mine was busy working, spring-cleaning, editing my closet (and giving away stuff I haven’t worn in forever), planning meetings for next week and our upcoming trip to Marrakesh in 10 days… (yay!)

Here are 3 things making me happy:

A trunk filled with bamboo makes me happy, these lovelies now have a spot on respectively my balcony and terrace…

It’s not a new book but it’s definitely one of the most inspiring books I ever read (in fact, I read it TWICE and highlighted the things that seemed like a good thing to follow as a self-employed hummingbird…)

cant fake the funk

This totally cool and gorgeous cashmere piece is both quite expensive and out of stock so I was thinking of actually DYIing on a shirt that I already have… what do you think? Here is where you can find the original one

Happy weekend people!

happy friday

Hola fellow blog readers! I hope your week was as good as mine but I really need a tiny little break this weekend before starting Monday hummingbird style…

Here are 3 things making me happy:

New Leo flats scored at a Mango outlet… $15 instead of $110 hellooooooo!

We had 2 days of install at client #projectcutestylishfamily … it looks really good so I’m happy and now I only have to find the perfect curtains for their living room!

The weather was so mild and great this week that I had to buy tulips to make it spring-y even on my dining table…

Have a great weekend!

happy friday

blooming iris milan

I hope you all had a great week! I spent half of it back in Switzerland for work and I’m traveling back to Milan tonight. I feel like I’ve been on the road non-stop for the 2 past weeks so I’m looking forward to a nice weekend with friends, maybe a picnic (the first this year) if weather is nice and a looooooooooooot of sleep!

Here are 3 things making me happy:

Blooming flowers in Milan

tarte tatin

My mom’s world famous Tarte Tatin (you can try mine as well, recipe here)

boucherouite rugs atelier boemia

We picked amazing Boucherouite rugs for the shop that are currently on their way to Florida… can’t wait to see these beauties online!

Happy weekend folks!

fashion inspiration : jeans streetstyle

I was putting my winter clothes away and (happily) putting my summer stuff in my closet last week when I spotted an old pair of boot cut Gap jeans I had bought in NYC (and that I somehow can’t throw away). That pair to be my absolute favorite that I was wearing ALL the time before I discovered skinny jeans… Funny how something you liked so much suddenly looks totally wrong on you. I’m a skinny jeans girl and I don’t think I’ll ever get over it, here’s some inspiration on how to wear them this spring!

pimp my balcony

I only started liking gardening a couple of years ago but now I’m really into it. Now that spring has arrived, I spent most of my weekend buying plants and repotting them. Living in a big city (even if the parc is only a 3 minute walk away), having a “green” balcony is important to me as I like to spend as much time as I can out there when the weather’s nice. Here are some great ideas, get inspired!
