A lot of home offices look just really terribly boring (this is in fact why I often get hired “please, do something about this mess, it looks horrible!”). Here are some inspirational pictures showing that you may just need to add a bit of color and fun, hide what’s ugly (binders, printer) to see a radical change!
This room was initially supposed to be a small living room but then the owner’s daughter said she wanted it to be her new bedroom (she was sharing it with her brother). I was really thrilled since it was my first girl bedroom to design and I think it turned pretty well..
We repainted the whole room and a new dark wooden floor replaced the old one. Since she is now 9 years old but wanted something she can grow with, I choose a neutral palette that can be updated and grow with her.
I am in the middle of a renovation project that started on Monday so this week was all about dust, floor ripping, dismantle the kitchen and fumes of paint but I love it all and I feel really lucky to do a job I truly love! I’m off to Lyon today till Sunday and then spending Monday at my parents for a nice Easter brunch…
This week was crazy busy (what else is new?)… I got a new super exciting project in my hometown Zurich to remodel a space that is going to be an art gallery, I met with another new super nice couple to redo their kitchen (#ihavethisthingwithremodellingkitchens), I need to redo a hair dresser studio in Geneva and I have a gigantic install in Lausanne next week, no biggie! I couldn’t be happier though because I get to do what I love and people apparently love my work so it can’t get better than that!
Here are 3 things making me happy:
Even though I only stayed for the afternoon, it was nice to be back in Zurich for a few hours…
We finally photographed #projectamazingcountrysidekitchen this week so stay tuned for a full before/after reveal next week!
I need to get these beautiful flamingo fabric napkins, I can’t get them out of my head!
