How f*ing cool is this glass house!?! It lives up to its name: it’s totally off the grid. Made from entirely green materials, the it’s entirely is self-sustaining. Solar panels provide electricity and hot water. It’s nestled in a relatively empty valley, so don’t go here if you’re looking for lots to do. If you get bored, however, you’re right next to Joshua Tree National Park. Otherwise, just unwind, and let go of the grid.

As you know, I recently traveled to Palm Springs and totally fell in love with it!
Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs is a motel that died and went to hotel heaven. The 1960s whitewashed architecture remains, as do the bones of an old diner, but it’s been brought back to life with more than a lick of paint. Draped fabrics on the walls give a luxe campsite feel, vintage furniture makes each room unique and the ubiquitous arts and handicrafts reveal just how creative this community is.

I have an extremely long “place I absolutely need to go” list and Palm Springs is on it. I’ve only been to the desert once (in northern Chile) and I loved it. There’s something very special about the desert and I find it really fascinating… and if you have the perfect, gorgeous home in the desert, then you’ve got it all!!!
