pear speculos crumble

I brought this crumble to a friend’s diner party last week. I do not know why I don’t make these more often because they are extremely easy to make, you can use any fruit you want (well, almost) and served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it is just the perfect winter dessert…

My personal touch is to add speculoos crumbles…

Pear speculoos crumble

You will need

10 pears

150 gr flour

100 gr butter (at room temperature)

100 gr caster sugar

50 gr speculoos crumbles

Pre-heat the oven at 200c.

Peel the pears and place them in an oven proof dish. Pour the sugar, flour, butter (in cubes) and speculoos crumbles into a bowl, mix using your hands to create crumbles. Sprinkle this mixture over the pears and make sure all is covered (very important so the fruit doesn’t get dry).

Bake for 35 minutes and serve warm (with whipped cream, vanilla sauce or ice cream).
